Feng Shui - The Secret Key to Unlocking Life's Hidden Treasures and Riches

Tai Sui

Tai Sui 太岁 is known as the Great Duke Jupiter, in English, the most feared and highly respected Deity in the Chinese belief. When translated from Chinese, the Tai Sui is known as the Yearly God. It is believed that the animal sign that clashes with the Tai Sui of the year may encounter some adverse effect in fortune. The clash effect can be derives from one’s pillar of destiny (birth data). If one offended the Tai Sui, he or she may suffer misfortune or ill fortune.

The Great Duke Jupiter is not the actual planet Jupiter. Tai Sui is an intangible star which moves directly opposite of the planet Jupiter. There is a total of 60 Tai Sui taking turns to fulfill their duties on earth each year.

Each year, there will be a new “Yearly God” on duty, looking after all matters on earth. The Tai Sui’s appointment would commence on the 1st solar term – Li Chun 立春. And the next would take over the baton on the following Li Chun.

There are five various clashes namely Zhi 值, Chong冲, Po破, Xing刑 and Hai害. Each clash formation brings different effect, Zhi 值 and Chong冲 being the most severe and Hai 害has the least negative effect..

In the Year of Dog in 2018, the ruling Tai Sui is Jiang Wu姜武 .

In the Taoist practice, praying to the Tai Sui at the beginning of the Lunar Year seeking for protection and peace would deflect the negative impact or influence.

These are the zodiac/horoscope sign and the various clashes formation in the Year of Dog 2018:

Clash Formation

Zodiac

Zhi 值 Dog
Chong 冲 Dragon
Xing 刑 Ox
Po 破 Goat
Hai 害 Rooster

If one do not fall under the above category, the pillar of destiny (ba zi) might still have one of the negative clash formation with the Tai Sui. These are the earthly branches that clashes. For example, if one is born at 8pm, the person will fall an indirect clash formation of Zhi 值 in the Year of Dog.

In the concept of Feng Shui, Tai Sui position of the year indicate the destructive qi. It is associated to the orientation of a premise determined using the Chinese Feng Shui Compass known as Luo Pan marked with the 24 mountains. The location where the Tai Sui resides should best be kept quiet with no disturbance. Activities like renovation, ground breaking, earth digging, banging of door, repairing and nailing on this area must be avoided till the following year. If the Tai Sui energy field is disturbed, misfortune would befall on the residence such as injuries, financial losses, business failure or sudden illnesses. The impact varies according to the pillar of destiny.

In the Year of Dog 2018, the Tai Sui is at the mountain of “Xu” (戌) in Northwest sector. If the main entrance of a premise is located at this specific direction, even slamming the door while opening and closing would disturb the qi. The directly position direction – Southeast is equally sensitive. Hence, practice caution when renovation, nailing or drilling in these areas.
